About the Project

The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has retained AECOM to undertake a Detail Design and Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study for the replacement of the Simcoe County Road 93 Overpass at Highway 11 and the associated interchange improvements, as shown in the adjacent key plan. The project is located within the Township of Oro-Medonte, the Township of Springwater and the County of Simcoe.  This project also includes the reconstruction of the interchange ramps as well as modifications to the existing carpool lot, shifting of the Highway 11 horizontal alignment, drainage improvements, new traffic signals at the west ramp terminal and roadside safety improvements.

The Recommended Plan for the above noted improvements was established through the Preliminary Design and EA Study (Group ‘B’) completed by the Ministry in 2022 and as documented in the Highway 11/Simcoe County Road 93 Overpass and Interchange Improvements Transportation Environmental Study Report (Morrison Hershfield, Nov. 2022).
